Batface Monotype

Monotypes. I kinda went overboard with this technique, and now that I am without the means to make them, I've gone through withdraw slightly. In the span of about 10 weeks, I think I made well over 40 of them in Florence. This was my first successful one, and it's the background for my Blog.

The image and its ghost-version are of a bat monster. Bats have long been a subject I've done work with, and you can find a lot of them flyin' around my DA site.
The little lionfish at the bottom is my watermark- it's on most of my more recent work for online things. This a Re-post from my Tumblr "acrosstheseas" and my DA accounts.

This one was done only with a Roller and a paper towel.
